Programs

The main function of The Breast Cancer Foundation is to provide funds, in the form of grants, to organizations or programs that are dedicated to help breast cancer patients, raise awareness or do research.Each grant request will be carefully considered by the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Currently the following projects and programs are receiving grants:

Cayman Islands Cancer Society – Financial Aid Program

The Cancer Society provides financial assistance to cancer patients for treatment related expenses. Applications for financial aid grants must be made to the Cancer Society office and will be reviewed by the Cancer Society’s Board of Directors. Each application is considered on an individual basis. No patient names are provided to the Breast Cancer Foundation to ensure confidentially.

Lions Club of Tropical Gardens – Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Breast Cancer Foundation sponsors the Brenda Tibbetts Lund Walk/Run which is the main fundraiser for the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During the month of October the Ladies of the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens raise awareness, educate and hand out hundreds of free mammogram vouchers throughout all communities in the Cayman Islands.
